Andrew Suggs is a guitarist, composer, and performer from Atlanta, Georgia. He has had a passion for music since he was a young child, when he used to try to “air conduct” music that he heard playing. As soon as a guitar fell into his hands, he was already trying to write his own songs. Andrew pulls from a diverse set of influences including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Duane Allman, Santana, David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio, Jerry Garcia, Jonathan DuBose, Jimmy Page, Mike McCready, Adam Jones, Mike Campbell and many more. His love for guitar led him to collaborating with other musicians and forming several original bands in middle and high school. Andrew studied music at Georgia State University in Atlanta, graduating with honors and a Bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar performance. In addition to his solo projects, Andrew tours and performs with international recording artists such as Peabo Bryson and is active in the Atlanta music scene.
In 2019, Andrew filmed a video of himself playing the Star Spangled Banner on electric guitar at the Grand Canyon. The video went viral, receiving millions of views worldwide on various social media platforms. Within days of posting the video, Andrew was invited to New York to perform live on national TV on Fox and Friends. After the Grand Canyon video, Andrew went on to record a series of American anthem themed videos in iconic locations such as Washington D.C., Pikes Peak Colorado, and Canyonlands National Park in Utah. Andrew’s original music is inspired by his life, experiences, travels, failures, triumphs, and reflections.
Andrew hopes to inspire listeners by creating a feeling, stirring an emotion, and sharing in a genuine human experience through the medium of music.
